Activity: Icebreakers

Icebreakers are simple, easy, FUN, games or activities designed to:

• Help students learn the names of class members
• Break the tension/ice when groups are new
• Create a culture that expects active participation
• Provide a way to encourage students to share information
• Icebreakers should be used in the first few class meetings and/or as an ongoing strategy to bring up the energy level among the class.
