Textbook Vendors

Each semester, individuals from off-campus bookstores attempt to visit classes around campus to encourage students to sell their used books back.  University Policy #0-018, Commercial Solicitation, Distribution of Literature and Other Speech Activities at USF prohibits the distribution of commercial materials on campus without prior written authorization.  It is known that various companies violate this policy. When detected, USF police officers are authorized to stop such distributions and, if not USF students or employees, remove the persons involved from campus. If you see such activity in progress, please report it to the USF police. 

Please also inform your students that the intent is for them to keep their UE textbook as a reference for the next few years, and the bookstore is not supposed to sell used copies to incoming students.   Students should not try to purchase a used copy or sell theirs back.
